Mrs. Metz'z Out of Office Day with Preschool - Part 1

On Wednesday, April 19th I got to spend the day “Out of the Office” with three of our preschool classes. Throughout the course of the day I spent time with Ms. Granitz’s class, Ms. Smith’s class and Mrs. Kattner’s class.

I started the day with Ms. Granitz’s class - I got to be a part of morning meeting, a directed drawing of a butterfly and I got to lead the lesson on Scholastic News about Earth Day! I moved on to Ms. Smith’s room where I got to lead a center where students cut and glued the life cycle of a butterfly in the correct order - I was so impressed with their knowledge of the butterfly! With Mrs. Kattner’s class, I was in charge of leading the center rolling a die, counting/identifying the number rolled and coloring the corresponding number on a chart. After that center, I got to help with lunch - Mrs. Kattner’s class loved the day’s lunch of pulled BBQ chicken, green beans and bananas!

In the afternoon, I was able to rotate around during nap time and then help Ms. Granitz’s friends wake up from nap, pack up to go home and play in centers. It was a very busy day - Mrs. Metz was ready for a nap when it was over! Be sure to check out the pictures below to see more about my day!

I’m looking forward to my second Out of Office day in preschool with Ms. Hayes and Mrs. Pikulski on May 17th!
