Welcome St. Benedict Alumni! Go Bengals!
St. Benedict Prep 2019 National Blue Ribbon School Designee
St. Benedict Preparatory School has been named among the 2019 National Blue Ribbon Schools.
The U.S. Department of Education, which compiled the 2019 list of National Blue Ribbon Schools, included St. Benedict Prep as one of only 50 private schools recognized.
Criteria for the award is based on academic performance. The school had outstanding test results on the 2019 ACT Aspire summative test of all students in grades 3-8. St. Benedict Prep Aspire averages continue to be above the national average at all grade levels in every category. Our students also scored equal to or higher than the Archdiocese of Chicago (AOC) schools’ average at all grade levels and every category.
Our ACT Aspire scores include all students' performance, including those who receive inclusion services.
Our teachers are using the data to inform their planning throughout the year. We will also be administering the Aspire interim assessments again this year to help monitor student progress.
Ms. Gemo and administration shared the good news before an enthusiastic audience of parents, guardians, grandparents and friends who were here for our annual Fun Run fundraiser.
THANK YOU to all who attended the June 2nd Mass of Thanksgiving and Reception in the Gymnasium.
