Where did all those Halloween Candy Donations Go? Around the World!
Thank you to all those who donated Halloween Candy to the Student Council Halloween Drive for Our Military. We received pictures from around the US and the world of soldiers grateful for the candy and prayers. Congrats to the ES Student Council members as well as Ms. Barry and Mrs. Fritz.
Where in the world did the candy go?
Colorado, USA - We sent candy to the military police in Colorado springs on behalf of the St. Benedict Graduate, Elizabeth Lytle (2011). Her and her husband are both in the army and happily shared the goodies with the base.
Middle East - We sent candy to a team of medical Navy officers and sailors stationed in the Middle East. They are in a makeshift tent hospital and are looking forward to enjoying the candy with their MERP meals.
Navy in Hawaii - We sent candy to nuclear specialists in the Navy based in Hawaii, one being the nephew of Debbie Geppert. These service men and women live on submarines and will enjoy the candy on their next dive! The candy even made an appearance at Pearl Harbor.
Navy - USS Ronald Reagan - We sent candy to the cousin of Neven (4th grade) and Nina (6th grade), who is in the Navy and works on the deck of the USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier, helping to direct the planes to safely take-off and land. Dominik and his soldier friends were very appreciative!
